Challenges Herpetology of the XXI Century - Pyrenees lizard (Lacerta agilis)
The organizers belonging to the University of Lleida and the University of Barcelona are pleased to invite you to participate in the XIV Congreso Luso-Español de Herpetología and XVIII Congreso Español de Herpetología under the motto Challenges of Herpetology of the XXI Century which will take place on the campus of the University of Lleida, between the 5th and 8th October 2016.
The headquarters is located in the Centre de Cultures i Cooperació Transfronterera, known as the Emblematic Building at Cappont Campus. The campus is located on the left bank of the Segre River in the district of Cappont. The campus comprises three faculties, student residences, bars and restaurants, several academic services and entertainment associated to the university and the city life. It is located next to railway and bus stations.
Conference organizers hope that this event becomes a scientific forum where participants can discuss, disseminate and share the latest advances in understanding the biology of amphibians and reptiles.
We expect it to be a good opportunity to bring together scientists, conservationists and people interested in the world of Herpetology that, from different perspectives, share a common goal: the conservation of amphibians and reptiles. This Congress has a special interest that is reflected in the main axes on which the conference will focus: climate change and conservation, cataloging biodiversity, evolution of herpetofaunal communities and management of invasive species.
It is very important our active participation, so we encourage you to submit your contributions in order to share our experiences and results among us.
